Madrid (Spain – 1981)

I’m Eva Bravo, I graduated in Fine Arts from the European University of Madrid (2007), years in which I was a student of international artists such as Azucena Vieites, Mitsuo Miura, Pilar Albarracín, Cabello/Carceller or Eugenio Ampudia. I have taken advanced photography courses at EFTI and fashion at IED (Instituto Europeo di Design).

In the last fifteen years I have carried out projects of various kinds, in which the conceptualization of the image has been the support of my work, because I consider that a feeling is better transmitted by providing it with a formal concept that justifies it.

Portraits and hybrids are two constants in my work. I understand the portrait beyond aesthetic beauty. Rather, an individual inner world that, paying attention, manifests itself through facial features and/or gestures. In the case of hybrids, I recognize that it is an act of rebellion. A way to demonstrate that the impossible, the different is plausible and above all, the wonderful thing about the different.
